| Note: I have updated
my FCB1010 to the UNO chip mod since the pictures on the pages below were taken.
The UNO chip mod adds lots of cool new features to the FCB1010, like Stomp Box
mode and several other very handy things. The UNO Prom chip is available from
several sources on the Yahoo FCB1010_uno forum. It was around $10 with shipping
at the time I bought mine. You can read about the UNO prom mod at the FCB1010
UNO forum. Go to the files section to find UNO prom sources and to get
all kinds of great info about the FCB1010 and the UNO prom mod. There is a ton
of info on the FCB1010 UNO forum that you can read about for more info. I only
have a small amount of info here on programming the FCB1010. Note: My FCB1010 needed to have the Expression pedals calibrated before thy would actually work. See the Behringer manual on how to calibrate your Expression pedals. |

| There are a couple cool
Midi editors available that can program the FCB1010 way more easily than using
the FCB1010 pedals as described in the Behringer manual. I would not even mess
with manual programming, it is very complicated at first to figure out and there
really is no need for most of the manual editing if you use ED Dixon's Midi
editor. There may be few global functions that can only be done manually via the FCB pedals, but the editor by Ed Dixon can do most of what you need way faster and easier from your computer. You need to have a Midi controller hooked up to your computer and your FCb1010 to be able to use the Midi editors. I have a Midisport UNO USB Midi controller that was very cheap and it works great. Go to the FCB1010 UNO forum/files section to download the free Midi editors. I have my FCB1010 set to Stomp Box mode using the UNO prom chip upgrade. The page below has a bit of info on programming the stomp box mode. In stomp box mode, the bottom row of pedals (pedals 1 to 5) are preset change pedals. The top row of pedals (pedals 6 to 10) are stomp box pedals. The stomp box pedals are active at the same time the bottom row is active. You can turn on and off effects with the stomp boxes within the bottom row presets. |

| Guitar Rig 2 can read Midi messages from the FCB1010 and other Midi devices. You can set up a FCB1010 to change presets, turn on and off effects, operate a Wah Wah pedal or volume pedal. The page below has a bit of info on how to do this. You need to set up your FCB1010 first. See the pages above for FCB1010 setup info. |
