Anderson PowerPole connectors are pretty cool.
The Jackets have dovetails on all four sides.
You can slide together the jackets into all sorts
of shapes and configurations.
I like to assemble my PowerPoles with the Red
jacket on the right. It is easy to remember,
Red on right.
That way all your batteries and lights are assembled
the exact same way and you will not plug in a
black connector, into a red connector.
There is a stainless steel spring plate in each
jacket that pushes each terminal up against the
other terminal when two PowerPoles are connected
together.

Assembly Instructions:
Assemble the jackets with the Red jacket on
the right.
When you look inside the jacket, the stainless
steel spring is down. Look at the picture above
to see which side is down.
Slide the dovetails together. Never try to pull
apart or snap together the jackets. The dovetails
slide together very easily.
Lay the jacket pair down flat and press in the
roll pin with a pair of pliers to keep the jackets
from coming apart.
Grab your Red/Black zip wire and put the red
wire on the right.
Slide a bit of .25" heat shrink onto your wire
pair if you want to.
Strip both wires back about .25"
Crimp on the terminals with the curve side
down. see photo above
Solder the terminals - Make sure the solder is
sucked down into the terminals.
Line up the terminals so that both are straight.
Push both terminals into the jackets at the same
time.
Look into the opposite end, so you can see the
tips of the terminals.
Push hard until both terminals click and
lock.
