With
DEEP sadness, I must report that McFadden's is out of business.
Which has us panicking around here a bit, let me tell you.
But though we use it, I'd recommend skipping the solvent based stuff, and go with a waterbase like
THIS STUFF. It has numerous advantages if you are inexperienced, and a few even if you are. The biggest thing is it doesn't shrink so much as it drys, which is nice, but also it is easier to use.
I know a lot of guys who like to use epoxy filler with nitro (epoxy and this micro bead stuff). I've tried it, and while the problem may be that I'm not used to it, I found it messy and unpleasant, and it didn't do a very good job. Or maybe I didn't do a good job with it. I don't know, but I do know I didn't like it.
