Pete Kleinow was a great player, and a very talented cat in other ways too. There is a good bio on him in the following link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sneaky_Pete_KleinowI had FFB's "Gilded Palace of Sin" in my hot little hands about two days after it hit the streets. His playing on "Dark End of the Street" knocked me out. When I found out that he had worked on the "Davey and Goliath" show I was completely hooked as a fan.
Al Perkins is a smokin' player, but I really dug SPK's over the top bombastic attack. Another favorite tune of mine he plays on is Jackson Browne's "Redneck Friend."
