I found a Stromberg carlson console at a yard sale today. old guy said it worked 20$. plugged it in sounded nice. he played a few records for me it works good, it has a 4 el84 2 7025 and a couple of other 6something tubes havent found recto yet. its all walnut the guy told me, still nice enough to put in the frontroom. again i think this is to nice for a homebrew guitar amp and maybe worth some desent cash to someone. i got a camera coming this week if you guys wanna see it let me know. Its a super sonic i think, the thing would make a nice pull out wet bar. i just cant help myself mark

Heh HEh Heh, yeah there's a lot than can be done with that setup, or if it's in decent condition, a cool restoration project! Congrats! (depending on the condition, I'd have slipped him another twenty to assuage my guilt a bit) ;)

Well, well, well... very nice. check the casters and see if they are in good condition, hit it with a coat of polish, and put some plastic sheeting on the top to protect it from the occasional spilled drink, and like my mother in law sez "winner-winner-chikken dinnerrr"
(remembers the nephew's parents had a nice Motorola console with a 15" center channel speaker and smaller speakers plus a horn for each side... put Iron Butterfly on the changer and crank up the reverb!)

Reminds me of my 1958 Magnavox Cosole in my living room. Mines got 4-6V6's---played some records on it this morning before I came to work. Have fun with it, Plate
