Subjective Comparisions of Reverb Topologies

Hey all, I am doing a new design and the swart amp got me wondering what type of reverb topology to use. I think their amp takes the send right from the input and returns right before the PI. The reverb control is independant of other controls.
Anyways I am looking for your subjective opinions of any reverb topologies you have tried. For instance, I have played lots with the fender type reverb which inserts before a 2.2m or 3.3m resitor and inserts after, then has a gain stage. This can get really deep reverb and can be super surf, but it is very noisy.
What ones have you tried - what is your opinion?

P.S. I fully expect Tubenit to chime in here, he has played with lots of various reverb configurations.

for built-in reverb i really dig the setup on the 63 vibroverb; you don't run your clean signal through as huge resistors. tapping the reverb signal from the input would mean more gain in the reverb line to drive the tank and you get no contribution from the tone stack (maybe good i guess). the 6g15 standalone circuit is *excellent* but lotsa parts. it's the king with respect to tone and versatility.
ampeg had a real nice reverb on the vt22 you could check out. this uses a capacitance- coupled tank that sounds less surfy, more like a studio-grade verb.
good luck.
