Just wondering if any of y'all like this girl. She has a very different sound, kinda dark and druggy, but I really like her style and music. Her best cd is Lost in Space.

Yeah I remember her from the 80's with Til Tuesday. It took a minute to place her, but I knew the voice from somewhere. Her style has obviously matured beyond the new wave stuff she did back then. I wasn't a new wave fan, but I liked Voices Carry (or rather, I
really
liked the video!).

Wow! I just listened to several of her songs with til Tuesday from '87. No wonder I never heard of her until a few years ago. I can't stand that stuff.
But I really like her newer music. I had never heard of her until recently. When I heard Humpty Dumpty a few years back I had to go buy the Lost in Space CD just to hear what else she was doing. I was impressed and bought 3 more CD in short order. I know she's not for everyone, but she sure makes me pay attention! :)

She also appears on Rush's "Time Stand Still" from
Hold Your Fire
. She even "toured" with them (via MIDI-triggered video/audio sequence).

I really liked "Voices Carry" and got the album "Whatever" shortly after it came out. Her voice is very recognizable and I like it in small doses.

We have proven once again no plan survives contact with the enemy, or in this case, with the amp.
