I'm trying to help out a friend with his hollow body guitar. The pots are noisy. Anyone have a trick to clean the pots without removing them??
Here's a generic picture.

You may be able to clean the pots nearest to the F-Holes using the straw attachment that Pot/tuner cleaners come with. I've done this before, but I wasn't able to get to the tone knobs without removing them. The problem with this method is that you are working blindly so you can't see how much dirt comes out of the pot...and if the excess cleaner is mucking up the inside of the guitar.
it may not hurt to carefully place a rag in the guitar under where you are working to prevent excess cleaners from dripping into the hollow cavity.

Thanks for the tips. All the pots were noisy as was the jack. I managed to remove everything. I used dental floss tied to the pots and pulled them back through the guitar body. Used a piece of wire as a snake. It worked without a hitch.
One tip I learned... Thread the washer and nut onto the floss before you pull it through. Otherwise when you try to put the nut on the pot falls back in!!
