hello from TN

Hello! I am from just outside Nashville, TN and have played guitars and basses for many years but am just now learning what is inside tube amps. I am married and have one child-son, 19 years old. I am a service tech for a heavy equipment mfg.
I play driven southern rock and have to have tube tone. Right now my #1 amp is a Mesa Nomad 45 w/4-10s and I play a LP and Mex Strat. I use a hard attack so I have gone to using heavier gauge strings and many times lowered tunings.
I have a project SF Twin Reverb 100w chassis that I purchased brand new back in '74 (I think). It has a long story associated with it that we won't get into which would explain where the rest of it went. I don't dwell there but will instead tell myself 'at least you got the chassis and rev tank back!'
I have ordered a few of the parts I need to replace and am looking forward to the next steps. I have been lurking here for a while picking up info here and there and trying to apply this to my amp. I am still looking for a pic or layout that exactly matches mine but the 100 watt MV setup with parts of the AA270 circuit look pretty close. My plan is to just get it working first then I can tweak for the tone I want. I use effects processors so a clean signal path will work for me with them. Just having the amp for distortion woud be great too at times but not at usual TR volume levels. Oh well, decisions, decisions. There is still lots of time to do what I want to do. The worst thing I could do right now is get in too big of a hurry. Thanks for all the info I have found and greatly appreciated thus far.
