HAS ANYbody modded this pedal ?...I have...its the pedal with the b at the end fx86b I think...but...I changed the value of the resistor at R??...i'll double check which "r"...think its around r16, 17, 18...around there...I put my old trusty resistor decade box across this resistor and FOUND A FIXXED 1/2 watt RESISTOR VALUE THAT SOLDERED ACROSS THE EXISTING RESISTOR IN THE PEDAL...I LIKE 3K3ohms)... totally lessened the relentless (way to much gain)...the pedal kikks ass now I even leave it on...great with any amp...ecspecially Doug's amazing AC30 that I built when he just got on the internet thing...Thank You Kindly Doug)!...I like the fact that its capable of adjusting BASS, TREBLE (not just a muddy sounding tone thingy)...MIDS, then overall VOL....ANY Ideas?

oh yeah...I should mention that I run it into the plain old NORMAL channel...in this channel...I've replaced the .1 (bypass cap/V1) with a 5.0 uf electrolytic (maybe ala dumble?...not sure)...but it sounds pretty darn richly nasty!

Do you have a schem? And how did you come up with that specific resistor?

I found an older article rgarding that 1 resistor...really made it a cool pedal for me...I don't have a variable adjustment...I just found a resistor value that worked out for the "sweet-spot" ...for me it was a 3K3...I can't find that old article anymore ...here are some other options I guesshttp://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?PHPSESSID=83066e3fc008bc54cb982e336146cab0&topic=39071.msg277729#msg277729

ANY OTHER FUZZ / DISTORTION/ HEAVY MEDAL PEDAL I'VE TRIED BOUGHT...SOUNDED LIKE A "MUDD-FEST" IN COMPARISON...NO OFFENSE TO THE FUZZ BOX BUILDERS OF COURSE...SOMEONE SHOULD COME OUT WITH THIS CURCUIT IN A PEDAL AND I'D BUY IT!!
