I love tube amps

Hello,

I'm working on a new project, a Revibe with Tore T mod.
Looking at the layout on Doug's pages (http://www.el34world.com/Hoffman/images/ToreTrevibe2.gif), I think there's a mistake with the B+ supply wiring.
Where do you connect the choke?
I think it would be between the positive terminal of the bridge rectifier and the 4k7 resistor.
Am i right or wrong? Can someone help?

Thanks

Bonjour,
The Layout does not show the complete power rail or the complete unit. We will rely on Jeff Gehring's Schematic for that.  IF you notice the B+ is split into 2 separate rails right after the rectifier. This was designed to make up for the widely varying voltages required for the reverb and vibrato circuits to operate in the same box. (The 6V6 driver which would need more power/voltage is down further from the PT than the 12AX7 vibrato (tremolo) driver, so it had to be split to work properly.

Here's a link to Jeff's schematic (ToreT's modifications are on the layout not the schematic)..ToreT didn't change anything in the power supply from this design. It should be pretty clear from here.

I used my poor drawing abilities to add this additional power rail that is called for in the schematic..

Note that the filter capacitors connect to points A,B,C,D.  I've only added the ones for the rail that has the choke in this picture. Point C would have a 47uF Capacitor and Point D would have a 22uF capacitor connected to it.

Hello Bigsbybender,

Looking at your schematic, i see that i was using a different one, found i don't know where (maybe on Weber's site?)...
On mine, the B+ rail is split after the choke! That made me confuse.
But now, which is the good one?

Thanks for your answer

Crap!.
I never finished that drawing I guess, I'll go back and fix it when I get time.

It needs to show both branches of the B+ split.
