I've always wanted to build an amp head in one of those nice hammond chassis' and a ventilated cage, but wow! they cost alot!

If I get to the point where I can splurge, I'm gonna get one of either the Strombergs, or the old Heathkits; they look about the same. But the wife already is wondering what I'm going to do with all my treasures that are filling up the milk house.

That vortexion is a beast!
I am working something similar, an old broken tube-powered sonicator from a laboratory discard/ surplus. It says "sonic disruptor" on the front...we'll see if it lives up to its name. It's pretty tiny but I'm thinking I could wedge a champ into it if I stuffed it to the gills.
