Fuzz Face input cap question?

I'm using a 2.2uf 16v electrolytic input cap on my silicon
Fuzz Face cone. Does it matter which way the polarity is
set for the input cap? I have it wired up gtr in positive
with the negative side connected to Q1. 9v supply is negative
Grounded below is a link to the schem of what I built input cap is the
only thing I have different.

Seems right to me. A switchable in cap is useful. The bigger cap sounds ruder, more retro, and the smaller cap is more useful in everyday musical situations.

Q1 base will be slightly positive so I'd probably connect the positive side of the cap to the Q1. We don't know what voltage is present at the tip of the input jack but it's 'usually' zero vdc.

Why use an e-cap?

 I can't find a 2.2uf Polyfilm cap small enough to cram into
the breadboard I am using to make the pedal. A 2.2uf 16v
electrolytic capacitor has a very small footprint.
