Hey Guys, Im in the market for a good, reliable and accurate clip on guitar tuner to be used on stage. There are a lot to chose from, and surfing the net , they all claim to be the best? I was wondering if many of you guitar players have any experience with the clip on tuners and can steer me to which are good and which are crap.  Any help is much appreciated..  Punky

I always use someone else's > Snark or Barcus Berry.  They both seem to work for me.

Honestly, the underlying technology is exactly the same in all of them, probably down to using the same chips.  The only real difference between them is the interface, so find one you think looks good (and which has a back light), and go from there.

I sell an awful lot of the Intellitouch tuners, and my customers seem to like them.

I like the Sabine, the whole screen turns green when your in tune. I got another clip on I have on my acoustic, can't remember the name but the 440 mark turns from one dot to three dots when it's in tune---that works but not near a visable as the sabine. Platefire

Thanks for all the input guys. I ended up buying a Kala KC02 clip on tuner at the local music store for under $20.00. Its set up for a Ukulele, key of C or D, but has a chromatic mode which works for any stringed instrument. Back light changes from white to green when in tune. Its small, easy to see and read. Works well , used it at two gigs and one rehearsal, so far no problems.  Punky
