slide guitar bridge setup?

howdy,i recently broke my arm in a car crash and i cant play any more so ive set up my spare guitar as a slide guitar.its an ibanez iceman, yeah i know "funny slide guitar"but it sounds cool and i can still play and thats the main thing.ive lifted the nut with a piece of angle line over the top of the nut and lifted the bridge way high.what i was wondering was how do i setup the bridge saddles for the harmonics as its about 5mm from the bottom of the 6th string to the fret board.perhaps it doesnt matter abot harmonics as im not fretting the strings anyway.any info on this subject would be helpful.

Not required for slide, its tuned open and any little bit its out is just a slight adjustment of the slide to get it in pitch (since slide is basically a move it till it sounds right kinda thing). Sorry to hear about your mishap, on the positive side you'll get your slide chops together! :D

As I think Dyna said, you don't need to fiddle with the intonation at all. For slide, the frets basically don't exist under the strings.
I hope this isn't permanent for you. :(

Try a open E tuning too, a and d string tuned up a whole step g tuned up a half step (just play a E and you'll see where they need to be raised). Good for Elmore James and that sort of thing, good fun.

You might want to use extra light strings if you're going to go tuning up. You'll break strings that way. At least, that's what happened to me.

I run 10's and 11's and if they're reasonably fresh and you have no bridge issues it can usually take it... (but broken strings do happen... :D )
