Warehouse speakers
« on: February 03, 2011, 03:12:41 am »
 We all know that guitar speaker is an essential part of total sound. By now I have used mainly Eminence Red Fangs, Celestion Golds and  Greenpack Heritage speakers + Weber alnicos in my tube amp projects. Eminence has raised their prices heavily with their alnicos. That is why I am seeking alternatives to those speakers. I heard that Warehouse speakers are in good reputation, but here in Finland we do not have anybody to import them to country. Has anybody experiences with Warehouse speakers compared quality & price wise to those I mentioned?

They don't seem like much of a deal to me. They're no cheaper than the Eminence speakers. I've had really good luck with the Weber Signature series. They sound great to me.

I think they're awesome speakers and would put them up on par with everything else out there. Just another flavor I guess.

My TOS is driving a 12" ET65 and a 12" Veteran 30 from WGS, plus my first build, a Tremolux w/ AB763 stack, was run through them as well. I think they are supposedly designed for Marshall style amps but they sound great with my Fenderish amps. The price was reasonable, they shipped fast & packed their speakers well to prevent damage. Just my 2 cents.

I also tried the ET65 and Veteran 30 combo and thought they sounded very good.  Didnt care for the clean tone too much (not that it was bad but not my taste) but I do like them in the crunchy to high gain range.

I have found them to be great speakers IMHO the are much better than Jensen or Eminence speakers, however they are not as good as JBL's .

I have sold 17 2-12 cabinets in the last year loaded with an EMI RWB paired with a WGS ET 65.  I have used over 44 of the WGS speakers (32 were ET65) and all were praised by customers and never had a failure.

I've got a Veteran 30 and ET65 in a Lopoline 2x12 cabinet right now. I'm pretty happy with that combination. The ET65 only has a couple hours of stage volume use on it so far, but the Veteran 30 has seen more than it's fair share of abuse in it's previous cabinet. I'd feel confident recommending WGS speakers to close friends and family.
