Hey, Noob from Tampa here. I'm a Pharmacist, Married with Children. I've built 2 AX84 HiOctane Amp Heads(one w/ a EL34 Power tube, the other with a SLO-Type preamp) w/1X12 Cabs. And Just finished a Fender 5E3 Deluxe Amp Head loaded in a 40s Delco ShortWave Radio Cab(still working out ground issues in the Bright Channel) I've purchased a great deal of the parts for these projects from Hoffman Amplifiers online store. Great site. smiley

I second PRR's statement. You're not a n00b, anymore.

Welcome aboard "Mr. Tampa." You got tons of info and help here, if ever needed.

I built a 5E3 combo and a High Octane.  I like 'em both, but I have an oscillation problem with the Octane at high gain levels.  I think that is because of the chassis I used was too small. It was an experiment so I crammed it into a baking pan!
