I had a great experience this past weekend. I had a reunion gig with a band I hadn't played with in 20 years. Our last gig was June, 1990. It was a blast!
About a month ago our other guitar player had to cancel, so I scrambled to get my 17 year old nephew on board to fill the second guitar spot.
My nephew is the kid playing the Les Paul, I'm playing the Gretsch. He was playing thru an EL34 tweed champ I built him for Christmas a couple years back. I'm playing thru a... well, I dunno what to call it - Parallel V1 -> FMV stack -> Cathodyne PI -> 2xEL84.
The buzzing during the silence is his darn P-90s.
Anyway, I'm pretty proud of my nephew, so I thought I'd share this video of one of the covers we did where he sang as well as he and I splitting the lead. Purple Haze:http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1499527100818
